Volunteer Opportunities

The Oasis In The Pines Volunteer Team exists to ensure guests experience an atmosphere of privacy and relaxation, and to provide meals that create conversation around the table.

Each meal is thoughtfully prepared, giving our guests a variety of options each time they dine with us. Below are the details on how to engage with our team and participate at The Oasis In The Pines!

  • There are two types of Dinner Hosting opportunities! Dinner hosts will communicate closely with the Oasis Meal Team Coordinator before their volunteer shift. Two hosts are needed for each evening meal.

    1. Prep-work and main dishes have already been prepared for the evening. The dinner host is responsible for warming up the main dish, making a side dish, assembling a salad, etc., and helping with cleanup after dinner.

    2. For food enthusiasts who like to create an entire meal from scratch, this host designs an evening experience including a meal menu and table décor. The Oasis strives to create a special meal to serve 10 on Mondays and Saturdays.

  • The Oasis lunch hosts assist the Oasis Meal Team Coordinator in ensuring that lunch menu options are prepared and ready by 12 PM. Lunch hosts unload the dishwasher from the previous day, review the evening meal details, and prepare anything that will assist the dinner hosts.

  • At the Oasis, we like to provide our guests with homemade breakfast pastries and desserts. Three types of homemade breakfast pastries and three types of homemade dessert options are needed weekly. Ingredients can be gathered from the Oasis kitchen if needed.

  • Oasis Meal Team Florists put together 6 different arrangements on the Sunday before guests arrive and strategically place them around the home. At week's end, our floral arrangers create new arrangements with remaining fresh flowers to bless others.

  • Oasis Meal Team Partners commit to praying over the details of the week’s meals, volunteers, logistics, and conversations around the table during the week.

  • Oasis Meal Team Donors provide Visa Gift Cards for Oasis In The Pines guests to use during their day set aside for Sabbath.

  • Volunteer to help maintain the facilities in various ways (determined by the volunteer coordinator).
